As per UK law, it is necessary for babies and children to be securely seated in suitable car seats when travelling. However, it may not be practical for you to bring a bulky car seat along when you fly into the country. To make things easy for you as well as to ensure that we comply with the legal regulations, our company arranges for car seats at no additional cost for our passengers travelling with young children.
Please note that our vehicles are not fitted with baby seats by default. So, you will have to inform our team of this requirement when booking your trip. Please inform us in advance and we will ensure that your taxi is equipped with a car seat that is suitable for the age of your child.
Our taxi drivers are well-trained to securely fix baby seats to our vehicles in the proper way. They can also advise you on how to handle and use this equipment correctly. All our child seats and baby seats adhere to the standard safety requirements and are clean and comfortable for your child to use during the journey. When your child is fastened properly in a suitable child seat, you needn’t worry about his or her safety and comfort during the journey.

At Transferato, we provide child seats according to the age and weight of your child. Please refer to the following list to identify the right choice for each age group.
Baby seats facing towards the rear
As the name suggests, these seats are fitted on a car seat to face backwards. There are two categories: 0 Group and 0+ Group. 0 group seats are meant for babies of 10kgs (22lbs) weight or less and age 6-9 months. 0+ group is recommended for babies who weigh up to 13kgs (29lbs) and are in the age group of 12-15 months.
Front-facing child seat
These seats belong to the group 1 category and are suitable for children with weights in the range of 9-18 kgs (20-40lbs) and between 9 months and 4 years of age.
Booster car seats and booster cushions
Group 2 booster car seats are suitable for children with weights between 15 and 25 kgs (33-55lbs) who are usually 4 to 6 years old.
Group 3 booster seats are suitable for children who weigh 22 to 36kgs (48 – 79 lbs) and are 6 to 11 years old.
